Relapse Prevention

Learning about your body
as a form of relapse prevention

Feel good now/hurt later is the hallmark of the addiction process. Most addicts have not learned that emotions are part of the charge/discharge cycle designed to balance hormones, blood pressure, fluid levels in tissues, and bring the body back to a state of "streaming pleasure" and pulsation, typically in 22 minutes. There is a similar lack of understanding of the body's natural restorative laws for coping with the agitation and immobilizing association with trauma and post traumatic stress.

Massage affects the body on all levels from the physical level up to and including the spiritual level.

  • Learn how your recovery is triggered by physical symptoms of the body.

  • Experience tools to support yourself by utilizing simple self-massage, reflexology, and aromatherapy.

This workshop can be presented in stand-alone segments or as a day-long retreat.
